Gravette Public Library Summer Reading
NWA Space and Science is proud to support the Gravette library summer reading program aimed at fostering a love for books and reading. We believe that reading is a gateway to discovery and understanding, essential for nurturing young minds. This summer, we encourage students of all ages to explore books related to gaming, simulations and play.

Cosmic Masquerade fundraising gala
Embark on a fun-filled journey through the cosmos while supporting a great cause! Dinner, silent auction, dancing and star gazing. All proceeds will go toward the creation of a Science Center in Northwest Arkansas, inspiring future generations of explorers.
Tickets will go on sale in early June.

2025 ANSA Dark Sky Festival
Arkansas’ fourth Dark Sky Festival in the Buffalo River International Dark Sky Park. Constellation tours and telescopic views of dark sky objects at night follow a fun day of educational and fun activities for all ages.

OLLI course - Cybersecurity - The Scary-Funny and Interesting World of Cybersecurity - II
Second class in the series.
In a world more technologically interconnected than ever before, securing information systems and your data is more important than ever before. This course will detail what Information Security is; its core concepts; the scary and funny implications. There will also be ample time dedicated to questions and answers with an Information Security Sr. Engineer.

OLLI course - Using Mars to Study Earth
Dr. Auld will talk about studying the martian atmosphere in order to learn about the atmosphere of Earth.

Dr. Auld is hosting a star party for a women’s retreat focused on finding the infinite within yourself.

Rogers New Tech Volunteer Event
Rogers New Tech is emphasizing community service this year. We have been invited to come tell about our mission, vision, and the volunteer positions we are currently seeking. NWA Space and Science Center personnel will be talking to the high school students about volunteer opportunities to help build a science center.

We will be Exhibitors at Arkansas’s 11th Annual STEM festival. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds, connect with our community, and showcase the excitement of STEM.

Holt Middle School star party
NWA Space and Science is excited to announce a star party at Holt Middle School on April 15, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This engaging event invites students, families, and community members to come together and explore the wonders of the night sky.
Attendees will have the opportunity to observe celestial objects through telescopes, participate in hands-on activities, and learn from knowledgeable science educators and volunteers. Various stations will feature engaging presentations on topics such as constellations, planets, and the science of stargazing.

First Friday April

Bella Vista Public Library STEM Workshop
This is the Bella Vista Library March STEAM Workshop. It will be on 03/26 from 3:00 to 4:30. This program is a self-directed learning experience for children aged 6 – 12 in our community. There are usually 3 – 4 stations with different experiments/activities, one of which the participants can take home.
